New function in Chrome to hide your IP address

The new IP protection will protect your personal privacy.

According to Bleeping Computer, Google intends to add a feature to the Chrome browser that will make it possible to hide your IP address.

The background is that it is easy to track users via just the IP address, which means a risk to personal integrity.

There does not seem to be talk of IP protection being activated by default, but users have to turn on the function in the settings.

It may also happen that the function is only made available in certain regions, for example the USA and the EU.

How long it will take before the ip protection appears in the clean version of Chrome remains to be seen.

Hmmm I wonder how this is going to work. Essentially a vpn service from Google? You obviously cannot completely just hide the source IP, because that would make it impossible for the websites to show you any content. So, they must be just using another ip instead? Interesting!
