New FB Verification: Video Selfie

Video verification happens if you use Facebook in cell phone but not on computer that has no camera.

Fake accounts is here to stay no matter what. I'm personally using FB for business (advertising) only. I would NEVER do anything they come up to force upon me, I'll just buy a new account if/when needed. I don't have a stomach for this childish "made solely to protect you" BS.

sorry for bumping dead thread, but is this still happening?

i have only gotten selfie photo but not selfie video when creating new fb accounts

Currently, to pass this checkpoint, you just need to take a selfie with any face, usually they will unlock it in 1-2 days, not counting weekends.

I see a lot of people using apps like OBS. and a moving image can bypass this process.

interesting. so far ive only had photo selfies and not video selfies at all

In my opinion, Facebook's increased security is right, because now many people lose their Facebook or have their Facebook hacked to do wrong things. Increased security also helps us protect our assets.

This issue seems to only occur with phones. I'm on the computer and everything is fine

I think it only applies when logging in on the phone, when logging in on the computer everything will still be logged in with a password
