I try to connect to a FB account and FB ask me for captcha and then to identify 7 friends on tagged photos !!

I have failed and cannot connect to this account until one hour to retry the identify steps ...

Anyone else ?

I also got that on one of my best accounts (admin rights on few really big pages), and I just logged at other account (using other browser), searched for names and recognized all faces.

I would crap myself if I saw this. Does FB want us to leave our personal accounts too? I doubt I could name 7 of the people on my personal account because I don't remember who they are anymore...

FB has gone nuts.. They are literally shooting themselves in the balls with their privacy changes and other rules. No wonder a lot of people have already deleted their FB accounts.

Search their names in other accounts and look at their default profile pic then go from there. It's a bitch but can be done.

So.... set aside 7-10 new FB accounts to create your ready pool of friends you will remember, and join them to your other accounts. When asked to identify friends, use the 7 or so you have already reserved for this purpose. Perhaps have multiple sets ready in case FB gets wise to seeing the same 7 friends being identified.

Uhhh you don't get to choose who you identify. They just throw random people at you...

FB changed their verification protocol this week (as recently as 5/14). They now require photo tag identification to verify an account when logging in from a new IP address. :(

oh from a new IP... it is not THAT bad.. i mean i run my bots on the same IP all the time so im not gonna have a bad surprise i guess

No they dont, i logged in on my account from three IP`s the last three days, no verification ever.

I haven't experienced the verification issue yet, but FB seems to be further going down Big Brother alley in making people identify others, to eliminate anonymity. Oh, they'll say is 'for your protection' or for the integrity of the network, but what's really going on is FB is cleaning up their list of members, to make it optimally marketable to advertisers who will market to them.

Identification is only one of several ways to authenticate accounts, but the corps seem to impose self identification and third party identification as their only means of authenticating. This makes privacy impossible if done comprehensively. Resist being branded like cattle wherever you go online, boycott FB's intrusiveness if they keep this up.

okay i think i have found one solution on this problem
go to your account settings and on the Account Security click yes
when you login to your account from new ip it will ask to identify your computer...simply put any text. And hurray you can login without photo verification....

Has anyone managed to get past this? I still can't after about 30 attempts over the past week. Any ideas on how I can do it?

Tried some of suggestions above and can't get them to work :-(

I have run into this on my account in the past couple of days .. I've done nothing but change ISP's .. gone from satellite to wireless broadband. Both my daughter and I had to verify our accounts. For some reason she got the captcha and just needed her birthdate. I got the verify 5 of 7 pictures. Took a few tries but I was only able to do it with her help as she and I share a lot of friends and she would check the pictures of who we thought it might be.

They give you stupid things like rainbows that someone has been tagged in .. pictures of their jewelry or of some scenic shot in a game they play .. or an avvie from some other online game or a pretty flower .. etc.

I have 2 friends who cannot access their accounts as they can't get by this.

Facebook has NOT stopped using it ericsson as I got it on the 29th. And sawangan I have my settings set to YES in Account Security to be notified of activity and I STILL got the tagged pic ID crap. :\

I think this is the only method available as of now.

They are still asking for friends photo verification shit when I try logging-in from a new IP. Facebook sucks man, this is such a stupid rule.:bsflag:

anyone know what the time limit is for these photo tests?? im trying to unlock an account and actually got it right by searching the names in another window, but it told me i took to long and to try again.

They are not 'deleted'. You can log in it again. I wonder why FB still keep the account even though we REALLY want to delete it.
