I was just scrolling around on Facebook and randomly found this in the comments section of a Manchester United video.

The strange thing is, somebody managed to make a post, as if they were the actual Manchester United page, promoting their own page.

Here is a link to the comment: https://www.facebook.com/video.php?...otal_comments=80&comment_tracking={"tn":"R9"}

But look, there is an apostrophe ('), in front of the page name. When you hover or click on it, you get to the official page though.

Is this a new FB trick? Anyone knows how to do this?

EDIT: If the link does not send you to the actual comment. Then see the answers to the top comment saying "He talks like a retard"

EDIT #2: By zooming in, I saw that it was a different symbol:

Sorry dont mind my comment. I actually wanted to post a link to the comment, then found out I am not allowed to post links here.

Anyway very interesting thing you discovered there. I am excited to hear more about that. Seems like a bug to me.

The symbol put in front of the page name is an arabic one.
And you know what else is weird? I am unable to post that symbol here on bhw. If I try, I get told I am not allowed to post links or email adresses.

Really weird, yeah. I added it to the very end of my first post. Its the little yellow dot'ish thing.

Don't know if this is a new trick or not but I've been seeing these type of comments lately. It's basically an account tagging the owner of the page.

Someone posted a method for this awhile ago but I can't recall where I saw it..

I get it.. َُ
The profile was just tagging Manchester united with his or her name as the arabic character. If you look closely the arabic symbol is not part of the link. Manchester is just tagged by the profile.

This is the invisible comment trick. More info here

Thanks man, I guess that makes sense. If it were a post by the official fanpage, there would have been a 'verified' sign and it would have been pinned to the top most likely.

I've seen this before, forgot where, but yeah def a nice "ghosting" trick

This is genius! How to setup an account with this name?

EDIT: Make an FB Page! Copy this icon: ÙŽ

EDIT 2: This works damn.

I tried creating a page like that but it's not allowing me. Did it get patched so quickly?
