New Facebook group?

OK so I just started a facebook group less then an 24 hours ago, I have no account other than my personal one, with about 1100 friends. I have about 180 members thus far, am I doing well or? lol

I Do however have big plans in terms of marketing so this is just the tip of the iceberg, however it is only my first time.

yeh i have some groups myself. but make sure you create fan page aswell on the same topic.. cos u can contact all fan members if u have more than 5k. unlike the groups. as once u reach 5k members. u cannot send mail outs to the. only update your groups. i have a couple groups with about 50k members in each

kk Thanks for the tips, doing that now. Do you think it would be a good idea to create another page to be my own competition. This is a one of a kind group, yet very popular?

Also whats better to market, a group or fan page and why??
