Mots recent changes I've seen is that you can't set the landing tab to the FBML tab.

facebook is sick... they tend to change the layout quite often to piss off spammers.. it always works.. as for me, I've left facebook after the recent(months back) layout change... it just sucks... and it's not ask effective as before to spam pages...
I use to be able to get thousands of hits in an hour with facebook by just a few wall posts.. today it's pretty shit,.. where facebook doesn't give any importance to user inputed comments on facebook pages/groups.. it's pretty shit....

if this change is permanant a lot of methods will not be effective because if an fbml code is not the first thing to be seen by the user how you gonna convince them to like the page?

Hmm, It is still working for my page. It may be that the landing page for fans have changed. I checked with an account that is already a fan and it will land in the wall but for the account that is not already a fan lands in the FBML page.

Could just be for new pages, or just for old ones. It happened to one of my pages awhile back, but a buddy of mines still had the landing page. So maybe yours is just fucked up for a second or something. Otherwise I doubt its permanent if its true.

It might also be a case that your friend had the cookie saved on his computer, so when he visited the site, he did not see the new changes....

You can still make the 'Info' tab the landing page as of now. So you can just have some text saying to see the picture click the 'See Picture' tab above. Yeah it's harder but not impossible

Could be. The community page thing is also an option. Because his page was made before that "community page" crap. Facebook is #1 on the net right now, why dont they just fuck off with their new changes and shit. But i guess thats why they are number one. Hahah.

I wouldn't be surprised if they make exceptions for the major corporations that need their page to land on a certain tab. It's all about the money.
However, you must keep in mind that there will ALWAYS be ways around whatever FB changes. They might not be shared publicly, and they might get patched within 1 hour. Then again they might last for a month. You never really know and there will always be money in FB no matter what they change for those who know what they are doing because there are some core features/components of the site that they simply cannot change while maintaining what FB is all about at the same time. Think outside of the box.

I will tell you why: this is because inappropriate people had access to the FBML code ('Click "Like" to see) and started to create dangerous/stupid/useless/threatening/ and even pornographic materials in pages for fans to see.
A page like "The photographer who took this picture has commit a suicider 3 days after". How somebody would create such a page to show to people? Another one created "SEE THE BIGGEST BALLS AND PENIS IN THE WORLD", "THE BIGGEST ASS", "THE BIGGEST BOOBS".
Some pages are extremely gore, which must not exist on Facebook. This is why we may loose soon the FBML function or the FBML code, and even soon we must wait for our new created page to be reviewed by an admin before publishing it.
Be intelligent next when you tell Whoever the Fbml code. Keep everything private people.....
