New EMD for a product - mini site or redirect?

So, i have an e-commerce site and have just purchased an EMD for a particular product that i have been selling. My site is functional, and has a streamlined checkout process.

I'm kind of new to the domain name game, and was wondering what you guys/girls thought.

Should i build a one page mini-site/sales page with a paypal button, or should i 301 redirect the domain to my main site (the product page)?

I would much rather 301 the domain to my main site, as the checkout process is much more professional, and the customer has the opportunity to purchase other items and the conversion will more than likely be much much better.

I'm just concerned the 301 will not pass the juice.

I would really appreciate any advice you could offer, as i unfortunately don't really have the time to experiment.

301 will pass the link juice for any links pointing to your EMD through to your money site. However, you won't be taking advantage of the keywords in the EMD and the ranking opportunities that represents.

I would build a minisite of a few pages focusing on your EMD keyword, rank it, and put up prominent links to your money site all over it so only an idiot wouldn't click through.

Looks like i will definitely be going the mini site route on this one. Going to use lots of text links, and some big images with SEO'd filenames that link back to my money site.
