Hey guys I opened a new e commerce store about 2 weeks ago now. I owned a store over a year ago which grossed about 15k a month in revenue. Mostly from free google shopping. Well I opened the site to find out its a whole different ball game now. You have to pay for adwords, in ordered to use shopping. So I am doing that but still my products are not shown on google shopping. I have gotten one order in the past 2 weeks and I am getting frustrated. What should I be focusing my time on to bring customers, I hate paying for advertising..

I am also in the beginning stages with my Ecommerce site. I have found a little success with Facebook ads and classsifed ads.
 
It won't let me send a pm I dont have enough posts yet for that privilege. I actually don't have access to skype right now my main laptop went down so I am using a minibook with out a webcam. Can chat on yahoo chat or something. I dont think this POS will support skype
 
How do facebook ads compare to google adwords. I feel like starting a ecommerce site is harder then ever and the all mighty GOOGLE is out to help people who have thousands of dollars to spend a month. Not to say I can't blame them but little guys like us turn into big guys with some help
 
My CTR was alot lower with Facebook compared to Google. Either way you will have to split test and will more than likely lose money in the beginning. Have you tried selling a few things on Amazon? This could also be a way to gather a following for your site. I am in the process of selling my products on Amazon as well.
 
Yeah I am loosing money right now. I have made a sale. My only issue with amazon is I have 5900 products and my website is not integrated with amazon. I am using the free backlink builders that are online as well. I am really mad that the google shopping has changed it was my key to success before. Use eBay if possible. I had a few lines on there that are a lot more expensive to buy on eBay than my own site. My eBay name is my website name and you can have a link to your website on your about page. You can also try and drop links or your website email address into your sales copy so eBayers can find your site directly. People are pretty savvy these days and will find your website through eBay. Even if they buy on eBay you get them for life after anyway.

I just use eBay as a cheap means of advertising. Do the same with Amazon.
 
hmm thats a good idea. Ill have to give that a shot.. How have you seen sales increase?
