NEW Ebay stealth account restricted...Why?

I've been having a lot of problems with ebay lately. Just can't figure out what I'm doing to flag the system. I opened a new ebay stealth account. It had $1,200 limit or 25 items. Started listing slowly to test it. No problems. Made 2 small sells. No problem. I listed another item and boom account restricted??! It wasn't a big brand or something very popular so I don't understand what flags the system.

Its really becoming a big problem and too time consuming for the small amount of money it generates. I spend a lot of time finding items to sell then listing and as soon as I get things going account restricted.

Now they want ID documentation, which of course I don't have since it's stealth.

Anyone know what could be triggering the system? I didn't max out my selling limit either.

Also, If I list a few of the items in a new stealth account would it get linked?

Also, clear flash and regular cookies and change ip. Never open any emails sent to the old account because they put flash cookies in them. If you can, give yourself another user account on your pc or use a virtual machine.

All items under $100. Most where sports clothing category. Had 1 game listed. This is 2nd time I've gotten a stealth act. restricted and the usual email asking for identity docs. I'm thinking maybe listing too many items at once flags the system for some reason. I renewed 3 or 4 unsold listings, then listed a new one that was $200 then boom got the email and all items removed. The same thing happened last time. I listed just 1 or 2 for coupe weeks the renewed a few and put a couple new ones.

I only had about 8 items listed out of the 25 allowed, thats not that much. It's not really worth the time if I have to spend several months just to get a decent amount of listings going.

I know before I used to list several right away and never had trouble but now it seems like all my stealth's are getting restricted. I use all new everything so they can't be getting linked.

How do I clean EXIF Data from pictures? I'm not too computer savvy is it complicated? The pictures are stock from the manufacturer with white backgrounds most anyways. Would those be ok to use again with new stealth?

Depending on how new the account was, $200 is a lot for 1 item. And by sports clothing I'm guessing you mean jerseys? Those are tough to sell on new accounts because of question of authenticity. Not saying yours are fake, but a lot of them are and so for new accounts, ebay will always err on the side of caution since they don't know you yet and ask for invoices to prove they are real.

You should always take things really slowly if you want an account to last. The first 3 months I pretty much go as slow as possible. I don't sell more than $50 the first month, no more than $200 the second month, and more of the same in the third month. After 90 days, the 21 day Paypal holds come off, Ebay trusts you a bit more (limit increases tend to happen around this time), and so that's when I start to ramp up sales and sell my normal items on new accounts.

Ebay has definitely become more strict ever since they were hacked so it's more important than ever to be as careful as possible.

Download BatchPurifier to clean EXIF data. It's very simple, just drag and drop your photos into the program, check a few boxes that says you want to remove the data, say you want to overwrite the original image files, and you're done.

It's not necessarily a bad thing to use stock photos and if you're dropshipping then you'd have to, but if you are selling the exact same items across different accounts and use those exact same stock photos then you need to be careful.

Any account will come under id request at some point. Best to have money and invest in services to keep your account up and running after these troubles. We all got to learn new skills (wink wink).

I had the same problem with you. I read the ebay stealth guide and have never had a problem since. Have you chsnged passwords? Have you changed your ip address? New windows accounts? Each stealth account needs its own windows accounts or mac whatever you use. They also find out by your browsing do you still search for the same items in stealth accounts. Its best not to clean cookies and open a new windows account per stealth account that keeps ebay happy. I would also advise to use a dongle instead of changing your ip address as you get a new ip address everytime you sign onto ebay.

Hey,I just bought 3 stealth accounts do you know how I can avoid any verification from EBay (asking for ID,proof of identity)

They must have found you or figured out that you were back.

Change IP , Change your PC , Disable Flash is the best way to avoid it. Ebay may be spot you have clone account

I have had absolutely no problems buying accounts from reputable sellers at aspkin. I've created dozens of accounts and bought some few, and I am fairly certain that if you take shortcuts in account creation, like not using a real phone, those accounts are not as solid.

Best to make your own account. Fresh IP, phone, new user pc.
