I created a new eBay seller account and didn’t even list anything. I just logged in, updated some basic info in the settings. I checked back the next day and it was already suspended. I really don’t get it. I hadn’t posted anything or even touched the selling features yet.

It’s likely there’s an issue with the device or IP you used. Are you using a proxy? If so, check the proxy quality or try switching to a different provider. If the proxy and browser on your machine still don’t give good results, you might want to try registering through an antidetect browser like GoLogin, Hidemyacc, or similar. Lastly, double-check the info you used to register. It’s possible that some of the details had been used before.

Sounds like they're flagging something, make sure to use an anti detect browser and a fresh IP and don't use payment details you've used before
