New Donor Prices

Due to a hosting bill of $1078 this month the donor prices have increased to $47 for 3 months and $97 for a year.

If anyone feels like donating again that would be cool too, I for one am going to.

$1078.. you guys are getting ripped off if this is true. I just got quoted on hosting for a project im about to start. $600/mo for a dedicated 100mbit commitment of constant throughput, which is more than this site could ever possibly use.

yes its rackspace, Dave is not very happy about it actually, the site will be moving to new hosting soon.

I imagine it has a lot to do with the large amount of DDoS attacks against the site. Targets of bullshit like that always pay.

pricing for the hosting i just mentioned...

Upgrade pricing is $650/mo for a 100Mbps dedicated bandwidth port.
Pricing for extra bandwidth over 100Mbps on a gig-e port is $8.00/Mbps committed, $13/Mbps overage.


i will pm you the site. also, you guys dont even need 100mbps.. you need much much less im sure. im doing an intense amount of audio streaming.

rackspace is a shithole. i remember using them back in 1999 when i was a wee noob. they sent me a collection letter a few months ago .. I canceled in 1999 , they said I owed them 2k for the rest of the year.. LOL
