Anyone else making money with the new domains?

I have quite a few of them, my recent purchase was justinbeiber.email - Going to setup a fake celebrity fan page where you can send a direct email.

Just an example of course, but there's a lot to be done with the new domains to make a profit.

Personally I don't think they'll take off as they are intended to, but still potential to make money.

maybe it's not bad idea , content lock with fake reviews will work .....

Mmm doesnt any domain generate money if you can send targeted traffic?
The real problem/thing to do would be for ex. to funnel 100k fans of jb to that page per month in order to start see some decent money.
I mean, if you get targeted traffic, you get conversions, w.e domain is. this thread is quite useless

I'm in the process of building a couple of big ecommerce travel sites on a .holiday domain and one on a .cruises.

The .cruises one especially looks really good in search results (think caribbean.cruises), although I think branding them in print ads or for type in traffic will be hard.

(They better fucking work as I'm investing a chunk in those two sites!)

No one going to pay for the unless your domain is really cool. But i see lots .guru domains selling at x,xxx$

people tend to remember .com and .org better then other tlds , if you not want people to return to your site then you can try.
i am also thinking about building a good site from them because they look cool in search results. (hacked domains get more clicks)

Didn't expect so many replies, glad to see people are involved.

Of course any domain can make money if it has traffic but just thought we'd share some ideas.

I bought original.directory as well, was going to target local businesses for cheap instant money, you can talk about how there business will be found on Google, include a backlink to there site which helps there site, more exposure = more money, and just charge them a tiny fee, it's easy money at the end of the day.
