New COntent Not Ranking High in the SERPS Anymore?

What happened? Before, whenever I wrote content, it used to rank on the 1st page of Google, but lately, I've been on the 5th and 6th page. Any ideas why?

same thing is happening with me. I just invested a lot into an aged domain and my main keyword is still on page 7 even with a lot of backlinking.

Noticed the exact same thing, older articles are ranking well, new stuff not at all (although I did have a new article come straight in at PR3 which was nice!).

I'm guessing that googles just filled all of its positions, god knows its not the most dynamic of search engines! (which is why I personally prefer Bing for searching, at least they regularly mix up the first page of results Google just shows the same 5 year old articles...)
