New blog - Long tailed Keyword

I'm still extremely new to IM obviously and going thru the struggles of all newbies, trying to find a method to stick with.

Doing some keyword searching I've found a Ltkw (6 words) in the health field that has about 3k exact searches a month with only about 800k pages that come up on google.. Do these sound like some good numbers to you more experienced guys?

I was planning to start a blogspot blog and basically just ''copy and paste'' information. Will I be able to rank a blog this way?

Any other method you would rather pursue instead of starting a info blog?

yu can rank for a while, but it would not last!, build up an authority blog.

I would at least spin the content. This is not a good long term strat. Most seem to be doing better with "authority" and branding sites.

Just because there is only 800k competing pages doesn't mean the competition is weak. You have to look at the top 10 competition. If you are serious you might as well buy a domain for .99 and get paid hosting, it would be better than blogspot. And for the copied content that may work for a week or two if you are lucky, but if the competition isn't that great than you might as well buy content creation from the market.

I've also seen mention of linking that blog to a twitter setup specifically for that blog. Then you focus on using twitter to steer traffic to that blog.

for me, 3k monthly search means 100 searches a day. this is good enough for some niches. Especially when this is a long-tailed. I would consider it as quite good. No harm to try it and see. You are not losing anything.

Definitely go for it. However, please don't put up "copy and paste" content. You will never climb the rankings if you do that. Ideally, you should invest in creating the best content, or at the minimum spin the content.

Go with a cheap self hosted solution. You will have more control over the ads that you can put.

Personally, that number is a bit high for me dude. Did you search using quotes: "keyword"?

I'd say go for it. Never know for sure until you try, right?
