New bill could put an end to Apple services

The UK government wants to force tech companies to put backdoors into their products.

The British government wants to make it easier for police and intelligence services to read encrypted messages, which in practice means tech companies need to add backdoors to their products.

If the bill becomes a reality, Apple threatens to stop offering popular services such as Imessage and Facetime in the UK, as the company does not want to compromise on security or privacy.

Similar voices are heard from Whatsapp and Signal, which means that the range of messaging services will be greatly reduced if the British Parliament approves the bill.

This is a new level of stupidity.

From protect privacy they moved to gosip and control everyone and I belice they are worry to do domething and uk streets become a war zone like is happening in france, so is good but remove the privacy of the people is not good at all, that will escalate, definitely

They are only going to create more rebels. More street protests I guess.

Ugh nightmare fuel

On the one hand, I understand people frustrations, surprise and bewilderment (otherwise I wouldn't be here myself) but on the other hand, I do kind of get it... and without getting political... so i'll use a fictional story instead...

A group of people, lets call them 'the clownseys' like to dress with weird hats, big beards and have the mannerism of something straight out of 10,000BC. They are rich and privilaged in their native land, being from the richest state in the country in fact. But they are not smart people, just a bit lucky when it came to money. So they started moving out to other countries, UK, USA, Australia and Canada to try to improve their standards of living. Now because they've got too much time and money on their hands, and little brains, instead of doing anything porudctive, they turned their attention against other groups of people from the native land to get more political control and power instead. The annoyance is now reached a point beyond mere extremism and arguably classed as terorist agenda at this point.
Some of these countries appear to be turning a blind eye to these terrorists for some reason, whilst others, like the UK are having none of it....

The Clownseys are just one such weird radical group to pick out. And it's these kinds of people that are ruining the right (or should I say privilage - i'm not even sure anymore) to better privacy for everyone. Because they need to be watched quiet carefully, and rightfully so.
