So I've just started on my journey to get thousands of followers (intend on doing many accounts) and just tried doing some mass following one my first account.

I was using the Mass Follow add on for firefox, set the cool down to 5 secs and a max limit of 100 follows
went afk for a bit
came back with the account locked
I cleaned cookies off my firefox and loaded all the cookies associated with the account in a private session before I started
though my same computer is also running chrome (which has many other tabs, no twitter though)

am I doing this right? Have no idea what I did wrong (or should be paying attention to), so any advice is appreciated :D

Use followliker tool to grow your twitter
You will get x5 faster results

I haven't used Mass Follow, but I know that Twitter is pretty strict when it comes to mass following, especially for new accounts. Is the cool down second the time span between following? If so, then increase it to 60 seconds or more. I wrote a script last week that allows me to automatically follow users, set it to sleep every 180 seconds, and haven't had a problem every since. With a little programming knowledge you can easily interact with the Twitter API. It's pretty straightforward and awesome.

Hey thanks for the reply, I changed the setting to 20 seconds for my next account and used a proxy, followed 100 and seems to have no problem
Haven't looked into their API at all, does it allow you to retweet by any chance?

That's good to hear. Best case scenario, you can follow at least 1K accounts each day. Yes, retweeting is indeed possible. I randomly favorite and retweet posts. You can do a lot of stuffs with their API, like getting lists of followers of an account, sending direct message, destroying friendships, getting trends.
