I’ve been creating new Google Ads accounts with fresh domains and legit credit cards. Even after approval, the campaigns barely serve any impressions. Budget is set, bids are competitive, but almost zero traffic comes through. Anyone else facing this with new accounts lately?

New accounts are throttled by default. Google’s system doesn’t let new setups scale immediately. You need to slowly build history.

A few issues you may have:

1. Missconfiguration in you settings, like:
- have disply campaigns, but no images added;
- if you are into ecomm and connected your merchant account, if your products are limited there, no ads will run;
- you included restricted keywords in your headlines and description - keep that only as seach terms;
- check your campaign and ads for any limitations and try to fix them.

2. Website UI and UX:
- the speed of your site is lower then 12sec;
- you have scripts that break things or viewport images setup wrong;
- very bad user experience design;
- SSL missconfiguration;
- blocked/ restricted domain or server IP - sometime it may happed to get a domain that was own before and dumped, check if with WHOIS services and wayback machine;
- promoting services or products that are restricted;

3. Other isuess:
- bad tracking configuration in google - check the lighthouse and see if you have the google consent V2 setup or other errors;
- multiple installations of the tag manager, analytics or just simple missconfiguration between it;

Hope this will help you understand you ads account a bit better.

Try running a small, safe campaign first to warm the account. Even $10/day for a couple of days makes a difference.

Is it spends just around $10 and stops the ad till the next day?

Could also be that automated systems are flagging new accounts until they show normal behavior.

New Google ad accounts don’t get much reach at first because Google doesn’t trust them yet.

Try testing using an IP from the country you want to target.

Don’t increase the budget too much at the beginning, if Google detects unusual bidding, it’s likely to trigger the $2 limit.

Also, new accounts need to be warmed up, starting with a low budget.

Makes sense. I’ll ease into it and focus on building trust before expecting volume.

Thanks for the detailed checklist! I’ll review my settings and site carefully to fix any issues before pushing further. Appreciate the tips!

Check targeting too. Narrow geos or exact match-only keywords can cause impressions to be minimal.
True, I’ll review my targeting and broaden it if needed. Thanks for the heads-up!

Sometimes VPNs backfire. If the IP looks suspicious, the system might limit traffic.
Good point! Could using certain VPNs really hurt new account traffic? I’ll test without them to be safe.

Yeah, that’s how it usually works—Google limits spend daily, then resets next day.

Great tips! I’ll test with a local IP and keep the budget low at first to avoid triggering any limits.

Yeah, I’ve had that happen too. New accounts can be slow to get momentum, maybe Google’s just being extra cautious with fresh setups.
