I created a new Facebook account, verified it with a ProtonMail account, and used an aged phone number. I'm looking to use it to promote links in some Facebook groups, not that many, maybe 10. How long should I wait before I start, and how should I warm the account up? Any do's and don'ts?

Wait at least few days before posting links. Warm it by normal actions like adding friends and joining groups slow.
Dont drop links early or you get flagged fast.

First, you need to nurture that account gradually, acting like a real user for a few days. For safety, you should warm it up for a week or even longer. You can interact in groups or post one or two articles.

Actually, the longer you keep your account active, the better, ideally 7 days or more. During this warm-up period, you shouldn't post links immediately, but instead interact like a real user and gradually join groups.

Add a payment method and then start with some nature-related campaigns to warm up your account.

Post good content with the profile running the promotion to expose on very comment or other social app views to growth

You should warm up the account manually for 2-3 weeks before you start posting. Warming up is adding 2-5 new friends per day, scrolling for 10-15 minutes and sending 1-2 dms per day.

From my experience, don’t rush it.

For a new account, I usually spend the first 5–7 days just acting like a normal user — browsing feed, liking posts, commenting a bit, and joining a few groups.

After that, I start slowly. Maybe 1–2 posts with links max, and not in too many groups at once. If you post the same link in 10 groups right away, it’s very easy to get flagged.

Also try to mix in non-promotional posts so the account looks more natural.

Slow and steady works much better than going aggressive at the start.

You can post daily on your personal page.

After at least a week, you can use it to post on about 2-3 groups; the number of groups should gradually increase over time. If you immediately post to 10 groups, this account will definitely be suspected.

You want to join 10 groups? That's quite a lot. Initially, you should only join 1-2 groups; don't join too many at once as it's easy to be flagged as spam. Your account should be nurtured gradually, with activity and interaction like a real user.

Don't post links right away; use the account for a few days to get some "user engagement," then post gradually. Just don't spam.

With a new Facebook account, don’t rush into posting links — that’s the fastest way to get flagged.
A simple warm-up approach:
• First 5–7 days: just use it normally (scroll, like, join groups, add a few friends)
• Post some non-promotional content (photos, status updates)
• Engage in groups without dropping links (comments, replies)
• After ~1–2 weeks, start sharing links slowly (not all 10 groups at once)
Do’s:
• Act like a real user
• Keep activity consistent, not spiky
• Space out your posts
Don’ts:
• Don’t spam the same link across many groups
• Don’t post links immediately on day 1
• Don’t overdo actions in a short time
Slow and natural = much safer long term.

From my experience, don’t rush it I usually let new accounts sit 3–5 days while doing normal activity like scrolling, liking, maybe a few comments to look natural. Then start slow, join a few groups first and don’t drop links immediately, just engage a bit before posting anything.

When you do start, keep it light (1–2 posts/day max), avoid spamming the same link everywhere, and mix in normal content so it doesn’t look like a promo account.

Biggest mistake I see is people pushing too fast and getting restricted early once that happens, it’s hard to scale, especially if you don’t have stable accounts to back it up.

If your account is newly re-established and you want to share to groups, you should first warm up your account with normal posts and interactions. Approach it gradually, sharing to two or three groups first, then gradually increase the number and participate in more groups; the more groups you'll be able to share to, the more groups you'll be able to share to.

Wait 1 week and make normal posts, show you're a real user, etc. After that you will be able to start posting links, but it's not guaranteed that you wont be banned

What works for some won't work for everyone so YMMV, naturally. That out of the way, give it a good 1 or 2 weeks at the least. Use the account normally first, your usual engagements, joining groups, general interactions. Once you get some activity history on there, you can start to gradually introduce links. Do things manually and not too fast early on, that's what usually gets accounts flagged.

The best way is to use your Smartphone and use the facebook app ''not your browser" to open an acc, use the acc to browse around as a normal human do for few days and then you can start posting

It’s usually a good idea to let a new account build activity naturally over time instead of using it too aggressively right away. Spend a few days using it like a normal user , browsing, engaging with content, and posting occasionally ,so the activity looks balanced and consistent. This approach can help improve overall stability in the long run.

I think you should:
Wait ~2–4 weeks
Warm up like a real user
Don’t act like a marketer too early
