Neverblue Files For Bankruptcy

Clickbank and Neverblue-one and two. I think the future of cpa IS content locking. More and more outfits are actually providing their own lockers.

I would say the opposite. The content lockers these days have less effect compared to the past and i wouldn't say that they ARE the future. I think Email/zip submits are the future (or something similar) which will be easy to complete and will collect the information needed :)

Where are you getting that logic from?

Content locking is the lowest form of CPA. Advertisers hate it, and you're dealing with the lowest paying offers. CPA will never die, considering CJ, and CB are technically "CPA Networks", you can tell it's a very broad acronym.

Read the post again guys, duh nothing is never dying, CPA is here to stay, stop cribbing.

This makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, as i see this as Karma coming full circle. Those douche's screwed me out of 27k a few months back.

bankruptcy doesn't necessarily mean going out of business.....it just means that creditors can't go after them.....they can either sell their business, restructure, etc...

needless to say, as far as neverblue is concerned .....just like w/the other cpa companies out there, the quality of offers have declined in comparison to the offers they had years ago....jmo

OP, you should seriously get this thread closed down. As the article clearly spells out, Neverblue is not going out of business.

All this thread does is cause people to trip out over nothing.

no dude, the future is mobile. A verified/linked email address to someone's android or iOS, i think that would be what the advertiser wants because everyone push email to their smartphones. They dont want fake or inactive email anymore.

ye reading skills... other way its a good method to pull the money off and close the shop :) filing bankruptcy doesnt mean there isnt money hiding somewhere.

I always said cpa is gonna be dead soon except for the top dawgs. CPA companies are gonna be thieves and fraud just like quick ponzi scams

It is just a matter of time before CPA stuff is obsolete and gone. Never expected this to really happen to them, though.

I guess no one is actually reading through the thread.

twas a false alarm, NB is not leaving.

where's the multiple quote reply button gone?
I hope you ain't let them hostwinds boys loose round here
they're hopeless.

I can see the CPA business regulated very shortly.
The businesses that don't comply will die out and so will the publishers
that think it's an easy ticket.
The Bad NewsHowever, despite this, things are not so simple. Even though they are not "included" in the Bankruptcy, there are a ton of issues that will come up that will affect the future of the company. The idea that Neverblue is not going to be affected by it's parent company's issues is incorrect. They are owned by that company, and are subject as an asset of the company.

Since Velo Holdings owns Vertrue, which in turn owns Neverblue, the future of the company is in the air and may be for sometime. This means that anything could happen to the company, including it being sold in order to pay the debts of the parent company. We will not know for a long time what will happen to Neverblue, but more than likely they will be sold in the future, depending on how their parent company restructures. If Velo is not able to restructure this could mean additional issues. It will be up to the courts to determine this.

The Really Bad News

Vertrue, which bought Neverblue in 2007, for all accounts, has not had good year. They seem to be in serious financial trouble and has their credit rating changed to a "D". According to a report by Bloomberg:

Vertrue was "at risk of breaching financial covenants early in 2012," according to the S&P report. "We believe the company may have the capacity to make the $10 million interest payment, but doing so absent a financial restructuring would likely make it difficult to operate the business given prevailing conditions."

They also suffered a $33M judgement from the Iowa Attorney General last year.

The last bad news is that Neverblue is being sued by Patent Troll Esssociate. This is very unfortunate because it means that Neverblue as an asset may be very hard to sell, even if they are profitable. Very few people want to buy companies that are currently engaged in major intellectual property litigation that could affect the long-term health of the company.

Again, this doesn't mean that Neverblue is shutting their doors tomorrow, or they will not pay their affiliates.
Jeeze they've really messed thing up. Live links in quotes and code?

And please tell us what traffic you were sending them :)

Not only is NB not declaring bankruptcy, but Velo is filing for chapter 11, which means that they want to get credirs off of their back by RESTRUCTURING their debt, as apposed to chapter 13, which would be the elimination of debt, through LIQUIDATION, big difference. Major airlines do this on a regular basis in order to restructure debt. It may sound like an oxymoron, but a company looking toward chapter 11 can actually come out as a stronger company in light of new credit terms after settlement. Delaying credit payments and negotiation payment terms for pennies on the dollar is the goal, and far from being broken, chapter 11 can be big business' best friend in some cases.
