No, they won't lose anything. They'll just start taxing what is now considered 'free'. Just like heating / agricultural diesel is (almost) not taxed so will drinking water remain cheap and the rest will be slapped with 70% tax. It has happened with every new fuel in history. Just wait for the day when we have to pay based on wattage of our wind turbines or the number of sunny days the year had.

Some electricity corps are already building electrical stations to charge vehicles because they want to remain on top and keep their monopoly. And governments like monopolies because it keeps the prices high and a tax is usually a percentage. Also it is a lot easier to get the tax - instead of tracking 500 companies for possible evasion, they prefer to work with 5. It doesn't matter whether it's about oil, tidal forces, geysers and so on.

To illustrate this, the prices for electricity in the USA (fossils) and Iceland (geothermal) are almost the same. The meanest corps can be the governments themselves, check the prices in the so-called good countries to live like Sweden, Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands.

This is the vicious circle that needs to be broken and not some absurd idea that claims to use the heat from a refrigerator to cook meals while the cooling of the stove through the steak can be used to freeze the meat in the fridge.

I have a farm property and a while back the government came up with the bright idea of taxing the number of dams owners had (supplying their own water). They were going to calculate rainfall x storage area to rate the tax. There was a commotion about such an inordinate tax and so far it hasn't gone through. Absolutely NOTHING the government will do surprises me.

Taxing green energy is a step in the right direction. A healthy environmental trend like Water4Gas, taxes and all, opens the doors for greater wind, solar and magnetic technologies on the whole.

Erm. What happens in the 3001st year? Does the planet suddenly cool-down to room temperature?

But I agree. Geothermal is obviously the way to go. It's a matter of digging a deep hole and running water into it, and creating electricity from the steam that results. Almost a no-brainer.

All the energy we can extract comes either from the sun or from fusion and fission. Crude oil for example releases the sun energy that was captured by plants millions of years ago. It's that simple. When you light a candle made of paraffin you see ancient sun light in a sense.

Instead of falling for scam claims, check out the really useful research that is being done as we speak. One field is artificial photosynthesis. Plants use the sunlight to directly split the water into H2 and O2. If we can do that then the HHO engne becomes useful. As it is, we need to use more electricity to get the gas than can be retrieved when burning it.

MiLiTARYiV claims water4gas works but you can't use 1 Watt in a reaction and get 1.1 Watt from the opposite reaction. The energy conversion efficiency can never be above 1. Only some highly experimental transformers reach a 0.998 ratio, all other machines are lucky to get above .70

And oil is not expensive, it is cheaper than anything else at the moment. It's just heavily taxed so that some people can keep receiving their wellfare cheques. Yes you can drive your (diesel) car with cooking oil but a gallon of it costs more than gas. Same for geotermal energy and rest of the alternative methods. Not sure how many are paying attention but 30% of my energy bill goes to research of these alternative methods and quite frankly I am getting kind of tired of it. My neighbour is laughing at me because he got his subsidized solar panels from my electricity bill. I can do the same of course but unfortunately I am not the next parasitic asshole.

wrong. dont lie and say oil isnt subsidized. yur not counting the 300-500 billion dollars the US spends every year mostly on navy in the persia gulf to protect big oil. if you paid for that yur gas would be 6.50 a gallon. so by using foreign oil supported by US military dollars you are a parasitic asshole yur words not mine. but keep lying to yourself if it makes you feel better.

btw if you take time to solder your own solar panels you get electricity for about $1 per watt. it is also pretty easy to build your own wind turbine if you live where there is enough wind.

If the molecules are split using virtually free electricity from geothermal, the energy gain of burning the hydrogen should also be virtually free, less the "administrative costs" of packaging, transport, etc....

geothermal + hydrogen is one technological advance away from becoming the new standard, and with it pollution will also dramatically reduce.

Yes, that is why I mentioned artificial photosynthesis. Plants split the water getting the energy for that from the sun and then create sugars with some losses. If (when) we can do the same, the yield will be higher because we just need the first step and no carbs. It'll be possible to recharge the tank using the water produced as waste during burning and a little bit of sunlight.

As to the 'virtually free', oil is also virtually free, just drill a hole and then package it but we are forced to pay a lot more for it. At any rate it is a limited resource and we are going to have to move to cleaner fuel someday.

Personally I believe it will be either water splitting (some form of it) or hydrogen fusion that is going to power the homes and cars of our grandchildren.

Amazing video. Very entertaining. :p That was one way out bunch of
characters of & course the producer, who seemed to be in league with the
skeptic, purposely made these guys seem freakier than they are which is
not necessary.
Make sense they'd be different to come up with such way out
inventions. Tesla was extremely eccentric too.
While the skeptic is just a wannabe James Randi it was
somewhat of a victory to see an IBM scientist validate John Searles'
perpetual motion flying machine and another scientist validate the
nordic guy's perpetual machine.

There's an amazing John Searles video at the beginning of this thread.
However, if they really wanted to show perpetual motion in a favorable
light they'd have John Searles demonstrate his engines and flying devices
instead of just showing his computer. Good find IamNRE.
