Hi guys, I wanted to show you a little "trick" I found today. I was buying a new domain for a project I'm starting and as always, I went to retailmenot to check for coupons for my domains and found one which was 4$ for a .com/.net/org domain at godaddy and I thought that it was awesome, so I went ahead and when I was about to checkout, I saw an orange button and remembered that I had installed a chrome extension called "Honey" which basically finds and test coupons at amazon, godaddy, etc. giving you the one with most savings, but I had never used it before so I gave it a try (I already have a 4$ domain coupon but, what the hell, if the extension could find it for less, it would be awesome) So I just clicked the misterious orange button and it started to test 30 coupons and guess what... see it by yourself that's right, 1.17$ for the same domain. And the best part of it is that everytime you are going to buy a new domain at godaddy you just need to click the misterious orange button and voila, instant cheap domain for you!

Here's a little step-by-step how to:

1.- Go to http://joinhoney.com/?r=chrome download and install the extension.
2.- Go to godaddy and pick your domain/domains and go to the checkout page like you normally would

3.- If you installed the extension correctly, you should see that orange button at the buttom that says "find savings", click it and the magic will be done.

4.- Wait until it test all the coupon codes and gives you the best one

5.- Buy it :)

I'm not related / affiliated to the extension developers, just thought it would be helpful to you as it was for me :)

PS: I apologize for any grammar mistakes, english is my second language
edit: I know you can even get them at .99 cents in other providers but I'd rather pay a little bit more and have all my domains at one provider (godaddy in this case). I wouldn't like having two domains at namecheap, two and godaddy, one at register.com, etc.

step 6. while the plugin is searching for savings your domain gets brought by the dev....

You're free to not use it if you don't trust the developer but I don't really think they steal domains, they support over 100 sites (amazon, newegg, old navy, etc) so, supporting godaddy doesn't mean they "steal" your domains. Besides, you don't use the plugin until you're at the checkout page and ready to pay so there's not time for the developer to "steal" your domain :)

That is awesome man! How many domains can you buy at that price?

Thank you for this man, Will definitely use it in the future. Wish I knew about this ages ago.

Bookmarking this. Great share dude. +3 rep :)

Cheers! I don't really use Godaddy, but you've introduced me to the plugin that seems pretty awesome!

I usually use Namecheap, but this method is amazing.

That's fairly cool actually thanks. Might download that later.

Brilliant! Thanks +rep for this awesome hint.

That would be awesome of the dev just used that as a way to get referral comission.

So, is this 100% safe to use??? What I am asking is it possible for the honeysite developers to get commissions on all these referrals,
by drooping cookies just before checkout??? when you use your own links to make a purchase I mean.
does anyone think the same?

Thanks +reps to OP
