Did you contacted chat support? I have many website hosted in hostwind without any problem. You can also contact peter, owner of hostwinds who is active in forum.

The owner is on this site I think maybe he can rectify the situation. if you just talk to him abt it. they seem to have a good rep around here.

Please shoot me a PM with your tickets, we have had some network issues with Business3 this week, caused around 3 hours of total downtime on Tuesday between 1:00AM and 4:00AM CST. This affected around 150 customers
If you were down outside of this time, then it would have been an incident isolated to you

I once had my server down for 5 days straight because tech support couldn't find the source of my problem. After 5 days, I gave up and asked online if anyone had a similar situation, and it turns out it was an IP issue on their end. This was not using HostWinds, mind you. It was some Canadian host. They were terrible. I ended up just moving to another host.

I have moved out from Hostwinds to Hostgator. They offer good hosting but have a little bit of down time. They also have a good support specially the owner which is active here at BHW.
I have sites hosted with Godaddy, Ixwebhosting, Hostwinds and Hostgator and for me Hostgator has always been the best.

I agree with OP, hostwinds are a fraud hosting, they host some hacking sites which they're not going to take down, no matter if I send them a DMCA or not, they just ignore me.

I have a site or two on hostwinds and I've never had problems with them. All hosting companies have downtime, but did you actually have 7 days of downtime?

I have used Hostwinds for the last 16 months, and have never had an issue. Every host (no matter who) is going to have some downtime; and the customer support at HW has been exceptional. Bottom line, you have to have hosting somewhere. And Hostwinds has worked just fine for me...

Hostwinds has worked fine for me for around 18 months, customer suport is veary fast, all in all it is a good service and also I cant find a better VPS hosting deal for that price.

I am using hostgator, which is great but expensive.I used godaddy, for testing and it was realy a great f***.I asked within 24h for a refund. I moved with a little new site to hostwinds.Smallest biz pack, which is unbelieveable cheap.
But main reason, why I go with Hostwind is the personal contact via BHW.
Mostly, I have had best experience with bros and gals of BHW. Sometimes, not everything is perfect, but after communication you will see a good solution. Not only that, but you will benefit, learn and improve.
So far I have a good run with Hostwind.
