As a new blogger with no prior knowledge of SEO, I created this website four years ago and have been publishing articles on it ever since. However, when I had started receiving some traffic and earning a little ($100 every four months), my site got hacked, and everything went haywire. The incident was so demotivating that I lost all interest in blogging, and it was one of the saddest days of my life.

As a result of the hack, I got banned from Google. Although I was not deindexed, many pharma and spammy URLs got indexed, which I later disavowed and removed the malicious code. After a few months, Google started sending me traffic again, but Yahoo and Bing didn't, which was my primary source of traffic. Consequently, I lost 50% of my traffic. It's been almost a year since I got rid of the malicious code, but I'm still not getting enough traffic.

When I search for my website on Bing and Yahoo using the query "site:mysite.com," I get no posts of my website.

Which should mean I have been deindexed, right?

However, when I perform an exact search for the title of my post like "very specific keyword search" it appears. So, what's the issue?

I'm getting very little traffic from Bing and Yahoo, about 2-3 organic visitors every day. I am bitterly disappointed and would appreciate any tips you may have.

I wasn't earning much, but the stats of my site were going high, which gave me satisfaction as I had finally started getting results for the hard work I had put in over the years.

If you guys have any tip, please share that with me. And thanks for reading.

Add site to bing search console, request index for each url, I think you can bulk request like 50 urls per day and check what issue(s) bing console shows and try to resolve them.
Yahoo just copies over bing, so don't need to do anything with it.
You can also do the same with yandex.
And don't forget to not get hacked again.

Thanks for the response!

But the posts are already indexed when I do an exact title search, so should I still do this?

Yes, it will reindex and show any issue.

I have just submitted all the URLs, hopefully it's reindexed if it isn't already!

I will give an update if anything positive happens, thanks!

Hi guys,

when your site is really hacked, there is only one solution for this;
Backup all your content- better copy & paste it not iuse Database backup! (I explain below)

Then that your good company webhost provider is hacked, that's very rare like winning the lottery.
Remove your website wordpress installation+ Database in your cpanel

Create new installation + new database- copy & paste all your content back on the new wp installation- voila solved and your website works normal again!
Database: Malware from hackers are often in the database too, it's painful work to search each database tables manually to find and remove them, so you need new wp installation and new database.

Ah moment, not use any free nulled themes and plugins, your site is hacked too or showing a lot of ads on your site like porn etc,etc...
These malwares are in the plugin/theme itself + in the database !

Then your wp site will work fresh again !
(pm me I can help you with that)

Have happy day!
