Never godaddy again

Today you've become a man on the Internet. The price you've paid for it was big. Go with offshore hosts with whom you have a personal professional business relationship with to avoid this in the future.

Sorry to hear what happened but ALWAYS back up your websites at least once a week with a plug in like duplicator, your site could have been up within 5 minutes. Everyone seems to miss this out, no idea. I also place the back ups on 2 drives, if you do it weekly you'll lose a minimal amount of posts and save yourself a ton of grief.

Wait they seized all your domain names too? I don't think they can do that. What is the status of your domain names on whois?

( Also, you should have backups, but I guess now you know that. )

The best day of my SEO life was the day when I finally got out of the 60 day Godaddy block on my domains, trying to force me in, and when they tried to withhold one of my domains using their private registration system. When the 60 day thing expired, I got the hell out of there and never looked back.

( At Godaddy if you have a private registration, they can seize your domain unless you can recover it. Private registration means they own the domain and you trust them. )

All of their practices are questionable. Maybe not illegal, but surely they work at the edge, keeping you at a disadvantage at all times.

Anyone doing business with Godaddy is just betting to go through this sort of thing sooner than later.
How safe is google hosting?

GoDaddy is terrible. I've went to check domain availability and go to buy the domain 10 minutes later and guess what?
It's now owned by GoDaddy and they want a premium for it. Happens too much for it to be a mistake.

Man that sucks. did they give you a back up of the site? Did someone say they took your domains as well?

godaddy sucks, slow server and their refund policy also sucks they will send you cheque...like WTF a f.ing CHEQUE!

THANK YOU GUYS for helping advices and support,it mean a lot for me in these moments.
UPDATE: FUCK dreamhost too, from yesterday i try to buy their hosting and my account is in pending since then WTF, they dont have online support. So i ask now for a refund and i solve with a local hosting team that help me with moving domains and excelent phone support.

I recovered important articles and now i must be carefull to meta description ,titles, categories,to be exact the same, also I have a 301 redirect to homepage, because there will be a lot of 404 error for other articles i will not recover.

Let's see how this 3-4 days of hosting down situation will affect the seo ,because the profit is on 0 now.

How safe is google hosting?

Never tried it.

But there are so many great registrars, you're free to try 10's of them.

Namecheap hasn't failed me yet, their live tech support is truly great.

Yeah namecheap support is awesome. I am about to move one of my site from godaddy and from god's grace none of the duplicator plugin are able to take backup from that hosting besides those plugins work well with all other sites of mine.

We enjoy reading the Godaddy replies on your and others issues:)
