I made dozens of accounts, most of which I deleted after testing them, but they all flopped. I know my content is a big factor, but seeing so many people doing the same thing as me and going viral is very demotivating. I post aesthetic and fitness videos—basically modeling content—and the only time I got 200K views was on a workout video with captions. I don’t usually use captions or hashtags either.

Right now, I have three accounts: one I created today, one that’s about a year old, and another that’s a little over a month old. The audience really throws me off. I test similar videos on both accounts, and the older one has an inconsistent audience that may or may not like the content, while the newer account has fewer viewers but slightly better engagement.

When I make a new account, I usually end up with the same type of viewers: mostly girls from the U.S. who like K-pop. I reach almost 90% female viewers with very low statistics, and I blame that on the audience I’m getting. I know my content might not be great, but like I said, there are people posting the same or even worse content and getting tons of views.

I use an iPhone 16 Pro Max and I’m in the U.S. It’s feeling a bit hopeless, since I wanted to make content to help my modeling career. I will answer any questions!

New accounts get random audiences at first. No captions or hashtags is probably the main issue. Stick to one account and add simple hooks + captions

Stick to one account, use captions and trending audio post consistently and test formats the algorithm will eventually find the right audience.

+1 on the audio. I think many people overlook the fact that it needs to be synchronized with the video for best results. Try to mix the tracks with Capcut before publishing. Otherwise, your videos will have a high bounce rate.

Based on your description, it seems like there's a problem with the positioning. It sounds like audience targeting might be the issue. Try using captions and hashtags, even niche ones, to reach a more relevant audience. If you're getting mostly K-pop fans, adjust your content’s first 3 seconds or test new keywords.
Keep testing and engage with your followers even if it's small — TikTok rewards consistent interaction. Don’t delete accounts too fast, give it some time. Keep experimenting and refining! It will take some time to complete; please be patient.

Try adding a consistent theme or story across your posts so the algorithm understands your niche better. Engage with similar creators, reply to comments and experiment with posting times. Hashtags might not make you viral but they help new viewers find you.

The one post that popped gave the algorithm something clear to read. Lean into that format and make your intent obvious every time.

I think this issue mostly depends on your content. The rest comes down to the TikTok algorithm and your audience. If a topic is already popular and a lot of creators are making videos about it, the competition is naturally very high. That’s why your video may get lower engagement compared to others. Luck also plays a part. There’s really no other option than to keep posting, keep testing, and keep improving your content. Good luck.

You're stuck in a feedback loop of poor audience retention because your content lacks a clear, repeatable hook and you're not using captions or hashtags to guide the algorithm; focus 100% on one account, use trending audio with text-on-screen captions in every video, and analyze your viral workout clip to replicate its exact structure (pacing, hook, caption style) to train TikTok to serve your content to the right viewers.

You are leaking a fingerprint. In case you get a lower number of views, your profiles are flagged. That being said, you might need to post from a 4G connection since that can help get the account going. However, in most cases, you might need to let the profile rest for a bit before posting.

Managing a TikTok account is a long-term endeavor; you can't expect a large number of views from your first one or two videos. You need to continuously improve the quality of your videos, and the problem often lies in the completion rate.

Creating a new account is generally not recommended for everyone unless you're really famous, otherwise your videos won't get as much exposure. Perhaps an older account will solve this problem as it will appear more frequently and reach a wider audience.
