an email from hostmonster the mfckers

"It has come to our attention that your site is using an excessive number of files stored on your HostMonster.Com account. This is causing performance problems on your website as well as for other customers that are on this server. It can cause our servers to crash and cause additional downtime.

Our research shows that server performance degrades when accounts have over 50,000 files. In order to ensure optimal performance for your account and the others in your shared hosting environment, we request that you reduce the number of files on your account to under 50,000 by Date "

of course i missed the mail .. few days later ..

"Dear Whomever

Your web hosting account for whatchamacallit.xxx has been deactivated (reason: excessive file count).
Although your web site has been disabled, your data may still be available for
up to 10 days, after which it will be deleted. "

Live chat not working right now of course to bail out somehow from the situation .. but "excessive file count" ???? WTF ? ? ? :yield:

Unlimited hosintg yeeeah right .. it is unlimited just dont upload to much file ok ? ? ?

anyways .... the files are from wpomatic cahce... what else ..

So careful guys and take care .. wonder what am i gonna say to them , ,..

Hit me with some ideas or experience please if you have .,.

they fine with me... i aint got that many files but i got like 10 domains with them..
been good upto now..

I've never had any issues with them either. And I've sold some hosting plans through their affiliate program to boot.

That is a lot of files.

That is unorthodox! Is there something else you suspect over this? Not like they have a personal grudge against you. You might have an idea for this other than saying they are just rubbish.

Well look how is that, that on an unlimited hosting .. i can hav maximum of 50000 file .. ???
I just dont get it .. for example in one folder i have 98510 file which is only 7mb ... its not like 1mb each of them or smthing .. and if i would know that i would never take them, they ok in a basic level ..

i guess i`ll have to change it to a reseller hosting or smthng .. any ideas ? ? ?

If i know they have a limitation on an unlimited hosting i am not going to them.I guess i`ll just have to change to reseller hosting... They are good on a basic level.

50,000 files seems like a lot. But whoever you host with they will shut you down if you are to much of a strain on the server even if they say unlimited. Get your own server.

yeah so basically dont cache the images with wp o matic if you are on shared hosting .. i guesss ...

dreamhost, hostgator, hostmonster, bluehost... if you wanna great traffic or autoblogs stay away from cheap scam !
