NEVER AGAIN with PPC

I NEVER have luck with PPC. I tried Bing ads for dating affiliate site with maxbounty. Set up a few ads. Made sure all of my max bids were no more than $.15 to $.20 per click.

Few days later... I notice I'm getting charged $9-10 per CLICK! 3-4 clicks and my account is already at $47 which I will not pay. What the heck is going on here?! I know I didn't typo my cost per clicks and it said my average position was 4.26. Average cpc $10.26. Yea I'm supposed to make money paying $9 per click when affiliate pays $4 per sign-up -_-

Already have seen many Threads about this issue and people end up paying to to save their account from getting banned
 
Sometimes I believe the same things happens to me but it is my fault. If you have your your ad group set to, let's say .50 a click but you don't specifically state that you want to use your ad group bid, it will use your keyword bids (which if you didn't manually type can be significantly higher or lower).
Your situation might be different but I would check that you do in fact have the correct amount in the "Current Bid" column.
 
don't use BING for PPC that is a big mistake,am surprise you even used BING,i prefer ADWORDs. Attracta to is good
 
I agree with penguin, double check your bids and clicks, don't rush things up,-accidents like that can happen, it happened to me once ,-)))

I went in through each keyword to make sure nothing was above $.20 per click. Even the ones they had suggested bids were not more than like $1.25 and I made sure to change those.

I deleted the ads unfortunately and paused the campaign. I don't give a crap if they ban my account I'm never using Bing again anyway.
 
Err i made 12k in profits for campaigns i ran on bing in the month of Oct. Thats 12k. And thats after i subtracted what i spent which was $3,900. So im not sure what your talking about when you say Bing is not profitable. My clicks average $1.30 to 1.75 per click and my QS is 9 and 10 for each keyword. Maybe some of you need to look into learning how to use PPC. Obviously the complainers have no idea.
 
I would call them up and explain. They always work with you, because they need your business.

Over all, Bing ads are cheaper than Adwords ads, because their is less competition.

Bing ads accounts for 25% of traffic. So don't ignore it. Work with them explain what happened. You are assigned a sales rep. So, work with him or her.

Google used to be super arrogant, before they went public. Now they have turned super greedy.

Google ads used to make sense to bid for your own name, so you dont lose to competitors, when they are searching for your company name.

Try doing that now, they will rip you off. Your budget will be finished just trying to protect your brand name.

They charged $3.85 for keyword "dollar seo hosting", for which there is absolutely zero competition.

I'd say stay away from Adwords instead. Adwords has very inconsistent click through rates. Makes you wonder if the competitors are clicking on your ads. I bet google knows this and doesnt do anything as long as they dont hear from you or pause your ads.

Bing is much better because your competitors are not clicking on your ads.
Bing ad visitors are genuine.
 
@OP, You should've done your due diligence first before diving into PPC.

If you did, you wouldn't be in this hole. There are many people who profit from PPC. Just because it doesn't work for you doesn't mean it won't work for others.
 
It takes time to perfect PPC, and it takes a lot of trial and error and finding which network works best for you. Sometimes you do get really bad ROI on ads, but you just need to learn from it and tweak your campaign settings.Try using other networks like Adwords or Facebook Ads.

I agree with you. I have used Bing in the past and have had good if not great success and ROI with it. People here seem to assume just because Google is the biggest search engine its the only search engine people use & it will be the only one profitable. Bang Bang Bang Boys , NEWS FLASH.. There are other networks too , some even as good as Google if not better and Bing & FB Ads are 2 of them. IF you have REAL KNOWLEDGE and Experience of/in PPC then you would never ignore Bing or FB.

Happens to me on bing and other websites, call the support they eventually may give you some credits as refund...

Im one of the lucky IMers. I still have my Google adwords account from 2008. Time to fire that up shortly.
