Never access your PBN through google chrome

It is definitely possible though

There are different algorhtymic methods for tracking pbns that one cannot say this happened because of chrome Some methods arguably a lot easier and any engineer will tackle an issue with the least resources and as efficient as possible. Chrome tracking does not seem resource efficient as it would rely on crossreferencing with a lot of other data. Other methods would be easier specially if a pbn (the larger the easier) would link to multiple sites per pbn site over the entire network even partial matches can form the entire set in this way. This assumption to say may pbn went down because of chrome, would be to mistake assumed causation with correlation.

I develop in house, so no I don't have that problem... but I would tell your developers to use Firebug for Firefox (which is better BTW).

There is a hidden font request in wordpress admin panel, so if you login, you reveal your IP. So use firefox and look on Google how to remove downloadable font option, I think it was something like gfx.downloadfonts in about:config, but look it up
 
If you are a developer OP...

think about one thing...

your data will be on the servers for years(maybe FOREVER)...

algorithms are rapidly improving...

maybe you won't get slapped today or the next day or next year...

but do you believe they are sitting on their hands...

when SEO directly hurts their MAIN CASH COW?

Have to respectfully agree to disagree on that one - it used to be the best hands down, not anymore, That said, I have got one girl, she's nearly 40 frontend css only, bit of jquery, totally set in her ways bit sad really she should be much better but she's happy and so am I :), she prefers fire bug wouldn't change for the world but that's from using it for 10 + years.
 
I'd rather be over paranoid than lose my livelihood, so I'd work diligently to cover my tracks by all means necessary. Big corporations voyeurism has no bounds. Use vps, proxies, alternate browsers, and maybe different installs of virtual box that you reflash to a previous snap shot.
 
Do they store your data? Of course they do, they and every big company out there

Do they use it for SEO and penalties? I don't think so, so much hustle in the developing side and really big problems if can be proved. There are things more important than tracking people PBN's

Moreover, people don't give a shit if you are building backlinks for yourself. They only care about delivering good results to their users to keep making money from adwords. They have to stay in top by pleasing their visitors and the only way to achieve that is by cleaning their search results.

So, their actual focus is catching spamming websites, shitty content, shitty backlinks ( cuz they come from shitty content) ..etc. Cover those and you should be okay no matter what browser you are using.

"I don't think so" is a dangerous phrase to rest your hat on when your entire livelihood is at risk mate. Personally I don't want to put myself in the position of having to trust that Google is doing the right thing and not spying. I say "trust" for the same reason you said "I don't think so" which is because neither of us can say for certain. In which case my default action is to avoid potential risk.

This is where the anti-Chrome anti-Gmail people are coming from when they refuse to deal with Google products relating to their SEO work. Worst case scenario I'm wasting a bit of effort by not using Google tools. Worst case scenario if they spy, people like you could lose their livelihood. Anyway, I hope this at least illustrates where anti-Google people are coming from.

if that process exists (process of detecting connected pbns by chrome) and is automated - its probably limited to platform (for example wordpress). I edit manually my webs and put link there using chrome. no penalty, links are not discounted.

So they do not check if I type my site address in realtime. That would be overkill because we are allowed to enter our website url on our facebook, other social media (less known ones) and even on boards like BHW in "my url" section.

So if they track anything then that has to be per platform (and not per tracking any urls you enter in text fields) and most popular platform (less job for them) is wordpress

I know for sure they are spying. Like 100% sure. But, like I said it's pretty hard to merge it in their search engine and domain evaluation and it doesn't even make sense. You spy for way more important information than finding backlinks.

Do you know how many people are using Google public DNS 8.8.8.8 , 8.8.4.4 ? It's the most used DNS used in the world and it allows google to see every single page requested in clear text. I use it btw although I am pretty good at hiding myself and I know a lot about privacy.

Anyway, I use chrome cuz it's fast. The good news there are many browsers built on chrome and stripped of it's logging features for those who want. As for me, I have been in SEO for long time, never faced a sing penalty, so, I talk from my experience and I failed to see anyone who got penalized for using chrome browser or google services ( aside from webmaster tool and google analytics of course)

Boys heres the answer. Most traffic goes through 8888 or 8844 ipv4 or
2001:4860:4860::8888 and 2001:4860:4860::8844, for IPv6 access

They (google) can see your host whatever your browser because your more than likely using their DNS which aint encrypted.

Lads, if google wants to nab you they will. The good news is my interpretation of their privacy statement is this short term data is deleted within two days. The long term no need to worry they don't keep specific IP. (disclaimer - my understanding - I am no lawyer)

yes google+google chrome+android+windows+skype+IE is all tracking stuff. they probably have so much data that their servers LAG when they try to filter something out of it

(not to mention that sopa acta pipa stuff)
