Just got this messgage from my VPS host:

a netscan was deteceted from your IP. Using proxy hunters or similar softwares, which are scanning ranges from IP?s is not allowed and it is considered network hack attempt.
Please take all necessary measures to avoid that in the future, because it can lead to server suspension.

Is this because I've been using Scrapebox? Although I've been using it for over a month with no problem? Or could it be something else??

doesn't really sound like a scrapebox issue as scrapebox derives it's proxies from lists not through scanning. are you using any other sort of proxy software, such as proxyfire?

your server is doing port scanning which is illegal activity, you might have port scanner worm in your system if your not doing it.

I've just installed some anti virus and have started a scan. I think it may compromised as I've not been doing any port scanning!
