Whats up all!
So I was working at the bank today and my coworker was like, Bra, did you hear about the bill that the FDA is really close to passing next month? I was like , WTF are you talking about! He was like, the FDA is going to take away Net Neutrality , an Obama based law that basically kept the internet unregulated and free to make ma and pa sites etc.

So, what this new bill will do is take away all the ma and pa sites, ie: all my niche websites, and offer you and me in the USA a Tier package... So for instance, your ISP will offer packages like cable, the basic, 200 channels, the Premier, 500 channels etc. So it will be like this, package 1, yahoo and gmail access for $10... package 2, Twitter and Facebook for $10... Etc etc.. it will regulate bandwith and only the big companies with a lot of money like amazon etc will be able to afford to have a website... its called something like the speed zone or something.

So my question is, has anyone heard about this yet? How the hell is it going to hurt my niche websites ?
By the sounds of the bill, it is going to make the internet a monopoly of the biggest companies and the internet as we know it now is not going to be what we know it as anymore, no more surfing the internet freely and no more product review sites, or anything like it....

What are your thoughts about this???

:) Thanks

Initially no it shouldn't affect you. Eventually however it will work in favor for some sites and against the some, particularly those that complete with isps.

Look for Netflix and Hulu partnering with isps in near future
