neither karma nor age matter now, what matters to reddit algorithm after march update?

until recently account karma and age played a big factor in how reddit algorithm rate account trust score, my +2 years old accounts with +3k karma were almost immune to any bans, with proper setup bans were almost a non issue, but now that's not the case anymore, everyday i get bans with most minimal actions! 3 years with +3k karma accounts get banned easily as any 1 day old dummy account!!! if neither karma nor age matter to reddit algo now, what matters really?

Are you talking about auto bans from reddit itself or modbans?

For autobans it's just plain old activity. Don't post too quickly, don't post hundreds of posts a day, don't spam subs, things like that.

Basically don't look sus to the API. i don't know what you are doing but it seems you are using some automation software which uses an old version of Reddit's private api and their backend automatically flags any account that uses those.

Modbans are a different story.

Well, Reddit bans for nothing. New account. Confirmed email. 20 min surfing. Next day - one genuine comment = shadow ban.

It became the most stupid site I've seen. Normal site have rules and ban for breaking the rules, but not Reddit... Reddit is a nightmare and should fade away like MySpace. And it's heavily tracking users not asking a permissions, using third party cookies etc. Total privacy nightmare.

Back in 2020 you could mass spam with unverified freshly made accs with datacenter ips, accs would last several days of 24/7 spamming before being banned.

They'be been investing heavily into fighting spam in their platform, so its super hard to advertise anything on reddit now.

These days no one really truly knows what will trigger your ban, you could be using newer accs and be fine or using older accs and still get banned.
The best strategy imo is having lots of accounts I guess, but that is neither easy nor possible for many who are just starting.
