I think that if the company is the sort of company that is interested in online reputation, they will also be well aware of the negative SEO that can possibly happen and are usually good at being able to tell when it's happening/happened.
I wouldn't worry about it to be honest and if you're really worried that is going to have an impact on what the outcome of your job interview will be, just slyly mention it or bring it up, so that in the back of their mind,t hey know what's going down. As long as you have been targeted and not just lying, as that won't end up going well at all!

If i am not wrong, You need ORM to clean your Name. Better you can create the "social profile" for that exact name and start working for 3 months.
Pick the top 10 to 15 Social Profiles. And do share on everyday and improve your followers, connections and friends. YOu get some positive improvement for that name. Just PM me your name, i will have a look and share my thoughts. Hope it will helps.

@TheStlos. Were you able to achieve any success through Reputation Management.
You can post other content with your name (personal blog, Twitter, LinkedIn, Press Release) and then blast those pages with some links to outrank the other ones. No one will go past page one.
Or hire an ORM team to take down the other pages.
Negative SEO (generally) only works on new sites that can't take high link velocity. Established sites won't budge with blasts.
