Google Click bot sounds interesting. I've been looking for one for some time.

Can you point me somewhere one can get a bot to search on google and click on results. I'd be interesting in testing if it helps bump a website in search rankings.

Do you know anyplace one can get a bot like that?

Self promotion or not it is an interesting topic I'm looking forward to reading what the general consensus is as there is a degree of logic to it.
 
Why dont you install SyderSpanker and restrict access to such bots? I mean you can set the crawl rates allowed to say 80% for legit search engines and blacklist all offending crawlers. There is even a global blacklisting function that dissallows suspicious attacks.

If this is the future if negative SEO then we do not need to worry about it that much at least for now

There thousands of cheap ways (using sotftware or cheap labor) to do negative SEO using links
The future of negative SEO based on this post will need high end developer to be done and lots of money with less likelihood to work (not many people will be interested in that)
 
I've read the article, it's pretty good and interesting. I never tried Neg SEO, but this got me thinking. Can anyone confirm this?
Or if anyone knows a similar bot that will click on all websites except 1, I'll risk a personal website just for the sake of knowlege :)
 
So please keep us updated once the site returns at better rankings than before and we can call it another typical 'I found neg seo' thread...
 
I think your case study looks flawed to me.
Do you have evidence of your blog ranking for Penguin 3.0 since APRIL?
As the images used in your blog post are too small for me to read.

I decided to target one of my best keywords: "Penguin 3.0." Since April, my blog consistently ranked between the #1 and #2 spot in SERPs for this query. I was the first one to blog about it and got a lot of natural links to the page. The links were high quality and I enjoyed stable rankings.

Definitely a good read, a new perspective on how negative SEO can be done.

I've always known user experience is one of the ranking signals for search engines, but never knew how people could use bots to game it to their advantage.
