Hi, thanks for this suggestion but as I explained previously, this is not something possible as it's a brand domain. Already known brand, cannot change the name of the company for sure.

Hey the same thing happend to me and I just started on a new site right away, because if someone has sent you tons of bad backlinks and it has been doing over a long period of time before you noticed it, then it will take really long time to clean up that mess and get your rankings back, if you are lucky. But good luck anyway

Simple, make a new site (or two), start ranking those sites, and meanwhile, carry on back linking to your main site - try to water down the profile.

Users click on links to visit the destination site. Google does not. Google crawls a page and visits the links it finds some time later - with no referring URL. Assuming the OP had a lifetime to invest in redirecting 10,000 links, and htaccess did not crash, it would not do anything as far as Google is concerned.
I'm not sure who brought up redirecting bad links in this thread, or in the other threads I've seen it in, but it should be squashed to save others a lot of time.

I wouldn't personally create a new site. It's a 5 year old domain, and you've built a brand around it. I would continue to disavow and start a social media campaign. I think there is a thread around here discussing the mere mention of your brand is enough for SERP juice. So don't focus just on links, mention your brand and start discussions around it as well. You could also purchase an aged domain with natural related backlinks and 301 it to your current site in addition to the other efforts.
Another idea is, if they are targeting specific pages of yours with optimized anchor text, you could try to remove that keyword from the pages or lowering the density. Potentially 301 them to a new page with the same general content but a new focus keyword.
