The negative seo is bad, I do not practice but I acknowledge that I have a fascination with what is.
I never tested what I talk but I got the idea like this in a moment of dream.

Here's my idea:

Locate a website who's working his seo
Penalize him by making an optimized backlink with footer from your network of 20 sites
Wait for the webmaster and tell him a guy bought those links for $xxx and you're ready to remove those for the same amount.

What do you think about this idea ? :p

Well, first you'll have to find a good target.

Then you'll have to perform a efficient negative-seo (which is not easy for sure).

After that, you'll have to contact your target if he didn't noticed where the negative impact come from (he may be a newbie for example).

... is that possible for a webmaster who notice your actions to report you too google as spam? And will he recover his lost PR? If so, your idea will not be worth spending time on it.

Nope...IMO load of bull. Too easy. Everyone would do it. I would. Even the wost backlinks will not harm a site I think...

Would like to know a more hardcore approach though :)

Negative SEO doesnt exist you schmuck....

negative SEO only works on new sites realy, on old sites it have zero effect

Totally correct. You try and 'negative seo' an established site and i'll eat my hat. Its all bullshit.

I have had competition try and kill my established sites using every trick in the book and they fail..fail..fail
