Negative SEO experiment went wrong (maybe)

After the recent update, this site is ranking 3rd for a pretty competitive local niche and its ABOVE the "local 7 pack" in the US.

They were no where to be found before the update. Anyone shine some light on how their SAPE sites did?

as a quick follow up on this experiment the site I blasted is number one right now. they even have sub pages ranking above competitors for this keyword

Interesting results, but I'd never experiment on someone else's site, competitor or not. There are plenty of wikipedia pages or neutral sites if you need to test things on sites you don't own.

I think if you wish to do experiments, take the time and make a mock website and use it for your experiments, rather then hurt someone not deserving.

And if the URL is deserving, say a scandalous, libelous, vexatious, and false consumer complaint by an anonymous person? Now I don't know about you, but I would say that any URL from Consumercomplaints, Complaintsboard, Scams.com, ScamAdvocates, and Pissed Consumer, and Yelp, among others, is fair game.

Why be so ruthless and neg seo other people's sites? I hope Google gets smarter than it already is to know the intention behind such activities.

In a real world companies do it all the time, pushing each other out of the business.
Good business manager is the one, who can effectively eliminate competitors or at lest to make them weaker.

So get back to the real world and stop telling nonsense.

Haha... looks like Matt da cunt had to fix NSEO. This would have gotten the site punished hard in the past.... but after many people started talking about it and people start pushing down their competitors - I guess G had to make it harder to do NSEO. Try send him some porn links and see. BTW... I'm against NSEO on other people's sites unless they deserve it... try sending porn links to your own site and see.

to all who bash me for neg seo'ing others.. this niche is ''under saturated'' if I can say that.. meaning that if you call any of these professionals for an appointment they'll tell you there's a huge waiting list and you have to wait 3 months.. dont think I'm hurting anyone's business here. Plus I got him from #4 to #1 loll..

I've been negative SEO'ed in the past and didn't cry about it.. if it works somebody's going to do it. Relying on a stranger's kindness of heart for the survival of your business is really putting your head in the sand and getting you into trouble

when we spk abt neg seo, i think sb blast would be great addition.

But let me play devils advocate for a minute, and address all the people saying "you're experiment with a persons livelihood". It is true, NEG SEO is a slimey, snakey, douchey thing to do.

I own many local sites, do marketing for local businesses and own my own local business.

I had someone NEG SEO my personal business site back in September and they succeeded in taking the entire site down. This was an authoritative site but it just wasn't old enough or around long enough to establish the proper authority it needed.

So the site vanished, my earnings plummeted, and I was put in a tough situation.

So YES, NEG SEO can fuck up a persons life.

However. Even if NEG SEO doesn't fail and make the site stronger, what it will definitely do is make the PERSON who OWNS THE SITE stronger.

I now thank the slimey piece of shit who NEG SEO'd my site.

Because this time I ranked 3 sites for the same exact keywords, along with youtube videos, facebook pages and local listings. For many keywords, if you search for the services I offer, I have as many as 5-7 platforms ranking on page 1.

Before that, I only had 1 site.

So if you ask me, NEG SEO can often be a good thing. What you're really succeeding at is giving your competitors the motivation they need to take their business to the next level. Its like when I shattered my ankle 10 years ago. The bitch grew back tougher than an oak tree.
