Although flattering, I've recently found an imitator that basically copied everything, theme, pictures, layout, keywords, etc. I know most likely he is on this website and I know he negative SEOd me right around the time of his launch. I'm guessing he found it through private blog networks on here as it's an easy way to find websites. My website has already fallen off the google search engine cliff for now. His website has taken my place. Just a reminder to everyone of the new era we are entering.

Good reason to avoid easy to copy templates for money sites. Why don't you notify his provider if he is copyright in fringing? Is he?

This really sucks. Negative SEO is rampant, I was hit late last year on several sites, now I gotta disavow every single link that pops up from time to time.

I wish we could come up with automatic protection against unwanted links much like DDOS protection does for a website. If there was any possible way to do this not only would the person who invented it would make a lot of money but the general SEO community would really benefit from it.

try to get this site deindexed from google , by submitting a DMCA.

Or you can be just as brazen. Pull Whois information grab a lawyer and go straight for the throat.

Further more I DO NOT condone clicking his ads to the point of him losing his adsense account. Because that would be horrible.

If he copied content itself and is using Adsense you can report him to Adsense. His ads will be gone in about two days and if it was his primary monetization model sites like this typically vanish on their own once they lose ability to use Adsense. I did this several times after webmasters didn't respond to my pleading to remove copied content and it worked every time.

This is why I will always stick to churn and burns. I have no interest in wasting my time trying to make a pretty site which some little cn*t can ruin within the space of a few hours.

I would create another email that sounds like a law firm and send him a cease and desist letter trying to
scare him into stopping what he is doing. You could also make the email sound like it is coming from the DMCA.

Will he stop? Well who knows but it is a free way to try!

Amen! If your site doesn't get hit by nseo an algo will most likely eventually hit your ass. I ride my burn and churn with another site prebuilt on standby on a new domain ready to pull the trigger!

Lesson learned: "private" blog networks actually aren't private.

helloworldmaster, it's easy: You just spam the hell out of a competitor's site with tons of backlinks - and if you want to do it really fast, use porn ones :P

I think you have the right idea regarding web sites or drive traffic in another manner.

That sucks, send a C&D and start cleaning up those negative links if you want the original site to rerank again.

Welcome to the new game of SEO.
