Negative link campaign - advice

Greetings,

I have a client who wants to bury a negative article from a government site. The article in question has only 1 backlink and the page itself gets almost zero traffic. I am wondering if we just go and create 5-10 backlinks from Porn profiles, etc. with anchor text like "Porn", "Buy Viagra", etc., will that work? Or since it's on a government site will this not work?

No it won't work. Build a few other pages, parasite pages or social pages and they will rank automatically without you needing to build a single link. Google likes fresh content and will push the article down.

You can even build links to those pages if they aren't ranking already. Considering the low competition of your keyword, it shouldn't be hard to rank

However try your luck submitting a legal complaint to google

You better try to outrank that with 10 or more parasites that have good things to say about your company.
