negative Google reviews

If they are real - respond to them politely , try to understand their situation and offer an apology rather than some ego spikes.

If they are fake - report them , that's all you can do i guess.

I heard that there are such services
For Google, such services are uhm, almost hopeless.

Google can see the device and account location, Google searches, gmails under some circumstances.

If a review is live on Google, there's a high chance its real and won't be removed.

And purely theoretically, what is your attitude towards Google review removal services?
Hm, you can try , it's always okay to try, some might be diffamatory or unclear and can get removed. I believe it's always okay to try, not a bad thing. If it's real, it's also always okay to try and sort it with the customer.

People, tell me how to deal with negative Google reviews?
Most of those "removal services" are just middlemen spamming report forms + hoping something sticks - unless it's clear TOS violation or defamation, odds are low fr.

Real play is ops side - respond clean + fast, then push volume of legit reviews to dilute the hit. Simple system, post-purchase email + SMS followup, direct link to review endpoint, small incentive that doesn't break TOS. One 1-star hurts, but 30 fresh 5-stars in 2 weeks buries it algorithmically + visually.

If it's fake and you can prove competitor angle, then yeah try reporting - but I wouldn't build strategy around some magic deletion service.

Do you know such services?
Well I know one as in I did it myself, but as trueplayer nicely said, it's literally just using the official appeal channels and sometimes some are fake, copyright infringement etc.

If the client can prove any sort correspondence or billing, it's lights out, the review will stay.

There's no trick per say, internal Google employees also can't remove manually, it's doesn't work like that, they follow protocol, it's a little bit different that trustpilot, in general youbhave one shot.

I completely agree with coolryr456t's approach to dealing with negative Google reviews, focusing on responding promptly and encouraging a high volume of legitimate reviews to counterbalance the negative ones. It's also interesting to note that some services claim to offer removal solutions, but as mentioned, their success rates are often low unless there's a clear TOS violation. Has anyone here had any experience with these services, or have you found more success with the organic approach of generating positive reviews?
You should in any business delegate this to someone who manages reputation and pr. Usually the brighter ones from customer support are ideal, they've seen the front lines.

Flag what looks fake, resolve what you know is real, if one is to stay permanently , post a public facing explanation which establishes a scenario where it's plausible that it's a misunderstanding or isolated unfortunate case.

If there's no team available, you go to the trenches yourself until there is one, as there is no magic or tricks, the only reason people hire for such services is they might not have the time or they might believe there is some magic, bit they never intend to make things right, which should be part of the process.

I mean, if a restaurant gets a 1 star review over 50 dollars, it doesn't make sense to pay someone 25 to 100 usd to try and resolve such a case when it could have been dealt with on the spot.

The user was there, his Google account and device was provably there, Google doesn't even have to guess or ask.

There's just too much Google knows and sees before any question is even needed.

First step is always to reply calmly and professionally. That alone helps conversions more than people think.
If the review clearly breaks Google rules, report it, but results are hit or miss.
Long term, the only real buffer is getting more genuine positive reviews so one bad one doesn’t dominate.
