Hi everyone,

I am just new here just to ask for some advice in how to deal with this.

I have no negative balance yet, but I am in a situation where I can not win this and soon I will have a negative balance. I did not link any personal information or bank account, completely fake.
Only thing I did with the money was (1) transfer it to a Chinese payment method with my real personal info and buy 2 small goods with paypal from an online webshop which I shipped to a friends house.
However, I filled in my friend's address and name AT THE ONLINE WEBSHOP to receive the goods, the goods have NOT been received yet, but will arrive early next week. My question is mostly concerned on the friend.. Will the debt collectors (in case they will chase me) come after my friend? Or will they find me? I am from the Netherlands.

Thanks in advance.

So you scammed someone and you want to know if you can get away with it?

Is this what you are trying to say?

Lol. No thats not the case. I sold the guy several virtual goods, even though he has all of it, theres a chargeback against me.
Not gonna pay for that ofcourse so I am wondering am I getting away with THAT.. and not scamming -_-'
Would be nice if you could help me a bit. Thanks.

well i was also scammed at virtual goods at paypal

i had like - 500$

however i did not pay it and every info was original

even though later i accpted to pay they terminated my account

now i have another account all same info expect bank account number it is fine

however this happened in the past

do not be a virtual seller in paypal unless you can afford to get scammed

You are right. However, I usually ask buyers who want to pay more than $500 to wire the money instead of paying it via Paypal.

If I was your friend, I would give the cops your address. You can expect to get the same fair treatment as you give.

Something similar happened to me. Guy filed a about 2-3 disputes and lost them all then ran to his card provider and filed a chargeback and I lost and now had to find a couple thousand (He had about 4 different big purchases)

It seems like card providers are just so unfamiliar with online proceedings that they went in his favor regardless of all the evidence I provided.

The common sense of it was, how can someone buy something the fourth time (like 2 months after the first purchase) if it wasn't satisfactory? I just don't understand who runs these companies.

It's fine for *right now*, but keep in mind that if they ever tie the 2 together, it'll get shut down instantly.

Yep, this is true. I can confirm this, I had the same address between two accounts, while one of the accounts were locked. Eventually, PayPal found out and locked my other account too.

Most of the time Paypal bluffs...

Guys, anyone of you got chased by debt collectors due to a negative balance? Thing is that one purchase I made, is sent to my home address, however the Paypal account is not under my name and my address.. Will they go that far and go after these addresses that youve sent goods to?

They will use every legal possibility to get their money back.

K.

Paypal actually came after me once for having a negative balance of about €230. They send a collector ( incassobureau ) after me.

Though this was on a account with all my real details and bank etc. Just couldn't pay it at that time.

Took them about 2 months to start sending me letters.

Did u pay eventually? How did it end? And a debt collector came at your door?

Nobody is going to chase you :) But make sure you do not use any of this info for your next signups.
