This is a very difficult discussion.
My first question it will be if you are sure we are talking about a drop and and not a dance? I ask you this because this is normal when you take this kind of action.
My suggestion will be to wait a few more days 10-15 and see what happen. In this time try to keep the link building velocity steady.
If still no move then I suggest to try recover them instead of delete it

The most important thing in blog commenting is OBL.

The drop probably happened because you build many links fast to your site and consequently your site is dancing in the SERPs. It will return back to its former position or a higher one, hopefully.

I agree with ija61... just giove it a bit more time... but i consider too that is you made link on non related blogs or places that might contain material that google does not agree with...you could get a cick in the *** by google... but let's not scare ourselfs... just wait and see what happens. I did same on a BIG site it droped down a bit and after few days it rised much more over what i have expected.

that means outbound links. creating links, let it be blog comment, image submission or whatever it has to be in a website which is a good one, which has backlinks, has less outgoing links, is not spamy, has page rank, etc.
If you don't know where to create links just brows and get some knowledge then start, now I don't know what kind of links you got, maybe these links are in websites which are already under penalty which means will react on your website badly, or if these websites are where you got links it maybe just some up and down because an action has been done on your website.
