Needing a little help with with Keywords

Having trouble with a couple of keywords programs


For the same keyword one is saying 24 (LTP) for keyword difficulty and the other is saying 47.


This keeps happening alot which one to trust? Programs are LTP and keyword revealer ... I'm going to assume is because keyword revealer picks up facebook likes etc and LTP doesn't?

They each use their own secret formula for calculating keyword competitiveness. Trust whichever one you find to be more accurate through experimentation.

What Chickensalad said, they could be using entirely different metrics to calculate those scores - for example, one might be using US traffic only while the other might be using international traffic. Or perhaps they are using overall averages if the traffic on given keyword falls below a certain threshold. You have no idea what ways they are filtering and calculating those scores.

The results you're getting in Keyword reveler is not top ten results for the keyword you entered in Google, check it out manually for that keyword in google, almost 4+ results getting you different. Go with LTP result.

Thanks but it does say top 10 for Keyword Reveler also

Backlinks sources vary and that is what determines competition.
