Need your suggestion about ranking

Hello

I established my first amazon affiliate website and tryed to rank some keywords... I manage to rank one keyword, which have 27100 searches per month to #56. This keyword is medium competition.. So do you think more backlinks will help me to rank it to page 1 in sometime ?... Because i think if i managed to rank it to #56, i have good opportunity to came to page 1 in some time with builiding more backlinks to it.

What do you think ?

there are many factors involved in rankings and we don't know anything about your site, on-page,competitors etc etc so any advice will be a shot in the dark. But in general - more links done right can't hurt

Yeah, it's impossible to say because if all top ten websites have really strong backlink profiles it's gonna be very hard to get to the first page. That being said; links are the most important factor for your SERPs so the more the better (and most favor quality over quantity)

Yes, building more back links is how it usually works.

How have you determined the competition though? A 27,100 search keyword that is worth something might be stiffer than you think.

You have to create backlinks on mature and high traffic results. You can also create links on sites by buying their domains to get more reliable results. You have to try all techniques of search engine optimization to get very good ranking of site.

You need to have more backlinks then outlinks and those sites that are feeding into yours should be well reputated i.e. not just some geocities site. The higher the PageRank of the site hosting the backlink the better it is for you.
