Need your opinion on HostWinds

Well, I got a reseller account a few years ago on a BF deal and never had any problems with them. Support has always been excellent, and they're always fast to sort any issues I have. Never had any downtime either, I would highly recommend them.
They have also have a year-on-year loyalty discount that you get applied to your account, 10%, 20%, 30% etc. which will be applied on top of your black friday discounts.

I had an issue with them a couple of years ago with some technical issues and missed communications when they
were new in the market. However since then Peter has done far more then bend over backwards to rectify the issue
and compensate me. Thankfully the issue has never occurred again and service as well as the customer service has been
spot on.

As i've recently bought their VPS package, i can see that they have a top notch support however, due to technical issues i had to wait about 1-2 days before i could actually start using the VPS.

Thanks im also interested in getting a resellers account, you ever had problems with high traffic websites? I dont trust the unlimited bandwidth as ive had problems with other host who promised the same thing.

None of my sites are really that high traffic, but there is no such thing as an unlimited plan. I think all hosts are only unlimited until you start using a lot of bandwidth, and then they put you on a metered plan. Hostwinds might be different, but I doubt it.
I agree with seopencil. You should chat with their support and discuss your needs with them, they are very fast to respond on the live chat on the website, or you could PM/Skype Peter, he is usually hanging around here in the forum.
From my understanding, BHW had to switch hosting companies due to the fact that hostwind was so unreliable. Kept getting time out errors back then.

I guess many false claim here.
Hostwinds has a lot of downtimes and is known for that.
Also their support isnt working on weekends so if something happens friday evening and your websites are off you'll need to wait till monday morning

If I remember correctly you were our client over a year ago. We have listened to our clients and made many changes since then, I invite you to try our service again, I will give you 6 months free to test the waters and make sure you are happy. The automated resource warnings have been completely removed. We instead use a manual process with much higher limits to find users actually negatively affecting other users on the service. Rather than simply being based on RAW CPU usage. We have also switched over to litespeed web server during this time, making our shared hosting environments much faster than most of our competition do to our superior software (everyone has the same hardware at this level)
I am sorry if you have ever had downtime with us, and yes downtime happens to all hosts, however over the past year our uptime has remained at 99.99%, unexpected downtime almost never happens.
I do not know who told you our support does not work on weekends, however we have 24/7/365 support. We even answer the phone on the weekends between 9:00 and 6:00 CST, just give us a call on Saturday, and you can talk to one of our technicians.

I dont need to proof anything.You can use the search button for the thread with the extremly long downtime which was a week long.
About support i can only say how it was some months ago when i used hostwinds.Maybe it changed because of the complaints.
I would also recommend using the search function on bhw you will find a lot of long threads complaining about hostwinds
I had all my wordpress sites hacked, support didn't give any advice or assistance, so I moved most my sites to another host and never had the problem again.
The last straw was when they had a lot of downtime a year or so back and I left them for crocweb.
