Before going to bed i just thought to post and ask you guys about Market samurai's seo comp result for a certain keyword. This particular keyword has -> (Google Keyword Tool Result) Keyword format -> XXXX YYYY ZZZZZ comp-> High exact searches global -> 40,500 exact searches local -> 33,100 So what do you think -> can this be targeted to rank easily in p1 for google. EMD is not available but if an extra "s" is added to the end then the domain is available. Please give honest replies cos i owe you guy in here for teaching me a lot about SEO but still am learning and want to be like you all. Thanks omni
I'm noob at keyword research but I'd guess this is fairly low comp - mainly because backlinks to page and backlinks to domain a low for quite a few of those. I'm happy to be corrected and look forward to everyone else's responses
Thank you very much for the reply david.I too hope others to share their knowledge about keyword research for this particular KW.
I would go for an easier keyword if this is your first time. The top 5 all have 1k+ backlinks to their page. And it's not worth the effort trying to outrank them for only 40k monthly searches imo. The top 5 of my first keyword was like 50 - 200 backlinks, and 20k exact searches a month. A thing that might by usefull to know when doing keyword research is that not all backlinks show up in market samurai. So they probably have way more backlinks but these are the only ones indexed / that market samurai can show. When I first did my keyword research and had a keyword like this I was like: I can easily dominate this. I'll just do a 10k xrumer blast, another 10k scrapebox blast, some senuke & amr for some quality links and I will rank #1 for sure with all my thousands of backlinks. While in reality only like 10% of those backlinks got indexed/found by market samurai and it's actually way harder to rank for that keyword.
cpc = $0.81 dude. am determined but the post by pietpatat has given a new look to this topic. hmm that looks like a solid info to me...... anybody else who can share their knowledge about this keyword.
dude the comp = high factor in Google keyword tool is for advertisers and not publishers. Correct me if am wrong.
Comp -> short for competition competitive keyword -> high comp comp = high -> the keyword is competitive If you meant AdWords competition then I have a feeling it's named differently in Market Samurai. :naughty:
It really depends on how much time and energy you will be putting in to this project. Is it "easy"? Not if you're expecting to rank after a SENuke Blast. Is it "hard"? Not if you have the time.
This. ^^ Although someone mentioned the first pages having thousands of backlinks, if you can build a few quality authority Web 2.0 pages, then you should be able to get a pretty decent rank. I woudn't bother with SeNuke/ScrapeBox/Xrumer to be honest, get some quality content on some Web 2.0's like Squidoo and you'll likely have some stronger backlinks than the other pages have. Either way, you should still be able to atleast get to #3, which would still net you a decent share of visitors.
For me this keyword is between medium and difficult.. its not super competitive and not easy..but if you know what you are doing then go for it.. but i hope you know your seo beacuse if you dont you will be losing alot of money before you rank..this is not some easy keyword.
