    Hi Everyone,

I am a long time lurker, new-time posted her at BHW. I have learned tons of invaluable tips and tricks here and for that I am very grateful! Let me give you a bit of background on what's going on. My site is new (January 2012) but was purchased at auction. I am receiving about 9,000 impressions per month on google webmaster tools but not a lot of traffic yet. I am ranking for a high competition, high volume keyword (nearly 1million searches monthly). Here is my problem:

I rank #10, 11, and 12 for some very competitive keywords that would be awesome, except for one thing - I am ranking on GOOGLE IMAGES ONLY. My actual website is indexed and on google but it is so far back its obviously useless. I rank #4 for a longer tail version of the original keyword, so that is progress but it is low volume. Any tips or advice?

The site has about 2k links pointing to it, I recently ordered a link pyramid + 600 social bookmarks on fiver gigs, I will be building links on scrapebox and SENukeX to the 2nd tier links shortly.

Thank you everyone, I can't seem to figure out how to stop ranking for images and start ranking organically!

Actually I am all ready doing this, each link to my site should have roughly ten backlinks to it now, most are likely not indexed yet but should be over the coming few weeks. Any other ideas?

Look around for a script that will break your pages out of the Google Images frame. That way you'll capture some of that traffic onto your pages.

Awesome, I actually found a wordpress plugin that does just that. I am wondering though, will google see this as a blackhat feature? Also, any advice as to how I can start ranking on organic search? Obviously this is the most important thing.

Google should not penalize you for this as a ton of sites do it. You will want to make sure that your images are on pages that have decent content and a nice chunk of internal links. That way when your images show up, you'll break the frame and the Google Images visitor will now be your visitor.

I wonder if there is an issue with the quality of content on your site. It's weird that they are only indexing images. Oh, and keep in mind that Googlebot can read text placed in images. I'll let your imagination run with that. :)
