Need Wordpress Theme or Other Suggestion

I have a client who wants to setup a website. Personally I'd prefer to use wordpress.

Premise:

Basically a directory site, where visitors can look up local vendors.

AND

Those vendors can sell through the website.


Anyone know a theme paid/free that can handle that, or have any other suggestions?

I'm looking at marketpress or the Auction theme by Sitemile.
