Need Web Designer for E-Commerce Platform

Hi,

I'm looking for a store to be designed from the bigcommerce.com platform. I'm really confused as to how that works though. I feel like I would just want the homepage to be designed at the moment to look like this: http://envirosax.com.au/

How much would something like this cost?

Really depends on how big the project is. However, there is always negotiations in all arrangements. So it's all up to the programmer/developer if he's willing to take the job.

If you want a list of devs/programmers who can do this job for you, these guys are great enough to handle this project. Just contact the site for help or post a job (free signup) on the site to get assistance.

Sorry guys, I think I may asked the wrong questions. Thanks for the pm's, I'll get to them after this post. However, I think I'm mainly trying to get an understanding of how this thing works. I'm a newb to web design. I understand installing different platforms like WP, Magento, Zencart, etc. to your website. However, if I am using a website/shopping cart like Bigcommerce.com, that means they have their own platform right? Like, I won't be able to upload my own plug-in or WP theme? It needs to be something specific to their back-end?

It looks like once I join, and start using their services, they have options for designing my store, but I'm only concerned with the Homepage because I need something unique and glamorous. Therefore, would it really need to cost hundreds of dollars to create just one page?

For something unique, yes. It could cost hundreds of dollars for just one page. However, if you just want a specific layout and maybe want to use a pre-made template then you might be able to save for money. As for adding templates to a specific platform, you are correct. Different platforms have different ways of adding templates.
