I want to start rolling to a slightly bigger game, so I think I'm going to need a good VPS.

Any recommendation? I wouldn't go for the pricy ones, just something that I could use for SB or GSA etc.

Thanks.

just bought this powerup hostings gsa lite Christmas sale
<============ from the banner you see over here .
tough I am not a hardcore user of gsa ser but it is fulfilling my needs.

Hi,
Before having a virtual private server , check the followings:
#Disk Space should be unlimited,
#Unlimited Bandwidth,
#Burstable memory that ensures uninterrupted service,
#OS-Linux or Windows.
#Easy and armed with large collection of software packages,
#Lastly, consider & compare price.

i personally wouldn't take unlimited anything, because they are not unlimited and not very reliable. choosing one: the first step would be to determine your budget and move on from there

#Disk Space should be unlimited,
There is no such thing as unlimited disk space on VPS
#Burstable memory that ensures uninterrupted service,
Burstable memory = shitty virtualization and vps overselling. Every serious vps provider offers only guaranted resoruces, not burstable shit.
#Easy and armed with large collection of software packages,
Such VPS have mostly cracked tools and are oversold so yes you will have acces to tools but vps speed will be super slow so you want benefit from it.

@OP
If your budget is around $50 and you dont need bulletproof vps go for small dedi instead of VPS. Volumedrive, Ovh, Hetzner etc. Dedi will be always better than vps.

i use bermahosting for VPS and you also can find in my sig a VPS with all seo tools pre installed

I just started using solidseovps and it is the snappiest vps I have used so far, I don't have to wait 10 seconds for a mouse click to register.

For SB and GSA I find virtualbox with Windows XP Black Edition best.

Since ur running a windows application, ur prolly going to sit on a xen Vps.

the following should be on ur must have list :

1. Offshore
2. Ssd drives if possible , no matter how small
3. 1gbps lines
4. Min 4 cores.

I don't know what you consider pricey. I read a lot of reviews for VPS for SEO programs and ended up picking poweruphosting. I've only used them so I can't compare them to others (SEO VPS) but I'm very happy. I have 2 servers with them. They respond to tickets quickly which is something that's important to me.
