Need urgent help with mininova, please :(

Hello fellow BHWs,

I'm really about to give up on mininova. I had uploaded a torrent to mininova which they said was infected (It was some cracks) that I have personally used, they always show up as viruses. Anyway, without any warning, I got an IP ban and I can do nothing to work around it. Can any body help me? Proxies won't help with uploading the torrent, right?

I'm really frustrated. I have uploaded to other torrent sites like torrentportal and I'm getting results which aren't very bad. But I used to get the best results from mininova. Also, can you help me on finding torrent sites as popular as mininova?

Proxys will work OK to upload torrents. That's what I do
I would also recommend The Pirate Bay, it is even better for me than mininova.

You can upload to mininova using private proxy. Most public proxy like from TOR is blacklisted from mininova. Other big sites are the piratebay and isohunt.

Thank you very much for the reply! Can you give me an example of a proxy you use to upload to mininova? Is it one of those 'Surf anonymously' websites or do you use a special program?

EDIT: Sorry, not so experienced with proxies. Can you provide more details about 'private proxies' or anything that can work with uploading to mininova?

If you get something like Cloakfish from Justone, a member here, you can set up the proxies in Firefox to use. I have found the sites likes hidemyass etc do not work with Mininova or Thepiratebay.
